Thank you for visiting my website, I am Dr. Lance Van Truong. My goal in keeping a website is to offer interested readers a little more about myself. Interesting facts about myself includes being a first-generation college/university/medical school graduate and being the first in both sides of my family to become a physician. I am a homegrown product of the San Joaquin Valley of California and I am of Vietnamese and Nicaraguan descent. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Anatomical and Clinical Pathology Resident
I was a resident physician in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown University within the pathology residency program.
I was associate chief resident from January 2022 to December 2022 and chief resident from January 2023 to December 2023. I also taught small group lab sessions (BIOL3643 IMS-I and BIOL3645 IMS-I) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic year.

My medical schooling experience included winning the AACOM Sherry Arnstein URM scholarship, being selected for the La Salud Permanente Latino Health Elective at Kaiser Permanente Fresno, involvement in the student a cappella group InTUN, and away rotations at Yale University, Cornell University, Baylor University, and UCSF pathology residency programs.

My undergraduate studies involved a focus on forensic entomology and included work as a student lab assistant at the contained research facility, a biosafety level III facility, working with the brown marmorated stinkbug and volunteer work proctoring a fire death investigation course in San Luis Obispo, California

Associate of Science (A.S.) in Life Sciences
My time in community college involved the founding of the Pre-Health Society, a student interest group for premedical and pre-health students, and work as a student lab assistant and a volunteer at the Tzu-Chi medical clinic and at the local Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
